Webinar and online VR sharing tour: Supply chain and air cargo dynamics – recent pandemic issues and technology development trend

The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers – Logistics and Transport Division (HKIE-LTD) and Virtual Reality Centre (VRC) of The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong (HSUHK) have jointly organised a webinar and online VR sharing tour on 7 May 2020. Distinguished speakers Mr. Cliff Sullivan, Immediate-past Chairman of HAFFA and Ir. Steward Chun, General Manager, (Technology & Quality Control), Asia Airfreight Terminal (AAT) have shared a presentation about impact and outlook of COVID-19 outbreak towards supply chain and aviation as well as recent technology trends for DG handling for air cargo terminal operations. A VR sharing tour is then followed by the two presentations. It is conducted by Ir. Dr. Eugene Wong, Director of VRC, HSUHK. The event is carried out online. Over 160 people have participated in the event via Zoom. VR CAVE, Head-Mounted Display devices, and PC VR versions have been demonstrated to the participants. A panel discussion and Q&A Session have been carried out at the end of the session. The response is overwhelming and positive.
