More than 70 HSU staff members and students participated in Virtual Reality Week 2022. The five-day campaign, which took place between 19 Sep and 24 Sep, aimed to introduce our University members to the extended reality facilities and teaching contents with the help of VR technology. It showcased the VR projects of the Virtual Reality Centre (VRC) with different applications such as cultural preservation, art appreciation and education. The campaign received positive reception from visitors, as it provided them with an unique immersive experience to interact with elements in a virtual world. Visitors were also impressed with the realistic details of multiple scenes.
This event featured a brand new VR scene Tiger Balm Garden. The ongoing cross-institutional project revisualizes the whole historical and cultural heritage and allows users to explore both the interior and exterior of the Mansion, Tiger Pagoda and Garden without any physical constraints.
