Students taking the module of Virtual Reality for Society (SCM2201) in the first semester of academic year 2018/19 have developed interactive virtual reality scenes in promoting Sustainability Development Goals (SDG). Students, in the form of groups, have chosen one of the 17 United Nation SDG goals and designed a story or scene with the use of virtual reality platform. Students developed interesting educational VR scenes about selected themes, e.g. No Poverty (Goal 1), Quality Education (Goad 4), Climate Action (Goal 13), Sustainable Cities and Communities (Goal 11), and Life on Land (Goal 15). The presentation of student work was carried out on 4 December 2018. Through the activities by collecting information, story and content about SDG(s) in Hong Kong or other parts of the world, students will gain an in-depth knowledge on the SDG(s). The produced interactive videos or content will also be exhibited to students and staff in the college as well as enhanced as teaching materials for the module of Principles of Responsible Enterprise: Sustainability, Responsibility, and Ethics (SCM2202). The initiatives are also supported by Institute for Youth Sustainability Leadership (IYSL) and Virtual Reality Centre (VRC).
