The VRC organised an Augmented Reality (AR) Mascot Photo Taking Event during the graduation ceremony on 4 and 5 December 2024. This event took place outside The Auditorium, Lee Quo Wei Academic Building and attracted over 150 graduates, their friends and family. Attendees had the opportunity to capture memorable photos alongside virtual HSUHK mascots and graduation-themed photo frames, using an AR mobile app developed by the VRC. The app featured academic regalia for the HSUHK mascot, Handa, tailored to reflect the respective schools of the graduates. The event aims to introduce our graduates to the latest AR technology and demonstrate how it can enhance their graduation experience.
